En parlant de Strategos, voici des informations toutes fraîches tirées de la ML qui lui est consacrée et rédigées par l'auteur de la règle Phil Sabin :
"Just a quick note following last Saturday's Society Committee Meeting.
We are now aiming to publish version 2 in November or December of
this year. I have alrady drafted the revised rules, which incorporate
lots of the ideas already discussed on this site, as well as others I
have come up with more recently. Rather than simply tweaking the
existing text, I have rewritten it from scratch. The overall thrust
of the revisions will be to streamline and simplify play. For
example, I am planning to have only one attack for the lead unit, not
two as at present (the extra combat effect being handled differently).
The changes should make things easier for newcomers as well as
smoother for the hard core.
I am now working on the revised scenarios. As you know, the main
innovation will be historical first turn deployments as an option for
each battle. Although the system itself will be a bit simpler than at
present, all the extra scenario data, together with a clearer
presentation than at present (eg headings for each rules para) mean
that the booklet will be 8 pages longer overall. The add-on CD will
be a later project, to give Richard time to tweak his electronic
version. However, I am planning a free download-based supplement
which will allow all the battles to be fought without any figures or
terrain being required.
If anyone does have further thoughts on how the system might be
improved or on rules which are unclear in version 1, now is very much
the time to highlight them on this site, so I may take them into
account. More details as things progress."
Voilà? Cela promet
