British Order of Battle
Commander: Major-general William Johnson
 Provincial (2,932 effective men)
 1st Massachusetts Provincials (about 450 maximum men) under Colonel Timothy Ruggles
 2nd Massachusetts Provincials (about 450 max men) under Colonel Moses Titcomb, killed
 3rd Massachusetts Provincials (about 450 max men) under Colonel Ephraim Williams, killed
 1st Connecticut Provincials (about 450 au moins men) under Major-general Lyman (peut être considéré comme « élite »)
 2nd Connecticut Provincials (about 450 max men) under Lieutenant-colonel Whiting Nathan
 Rhode Island Provincials (about 250 max men) under Lieutenant-colonel Cole
 New York Provincials (3 coys, about 200 mini men) under major Fitch
 Mohawk (agniers) Indians (about 250 men) under Hendrick Theyanoguin.

With them was a battalion of men from the Mohawk Valley, in which Hendrick Frey, Jelles Fonda and others held command. (200 gd max)

Lt. Col. Seth Pomeroy était présent aussi (il couvre la retraite du début)
Israel Putnam était là aussi (connecticut regiment), futur général de la révolution à venir...

Only one of the regiments was uniformed in blue, the rest wearing their daily clothing, as the militiamen of the Revolution did usually.
They had no bayonets but carried hatchets in their belts as a sort of a substitute.

French Order of Battle
Commander: Baron Jean Erdman Dieskau, Pierre-André de Montreuil second.
 French regulars (216 men)
 Languedoc Infanterie (2 coys) grenadiers
 La Reine Infanterie (2 coys) id.
 Canadians (684 men) sous Jacques Legardeur de Saint-Pierre
 Indians (about 600 men) Abenaki and Caughnawaga Mohawk allies (Kahnawake), sous Legardeur aussi

Les indiens mohawks des 2 côtés étaient peu enclins à s’affronter, ils seront pourtant nombreux à tomber…
La guerre : un massacre de gens qui ne se connaissent pas, au profit de gens qui se connaissent mais ne se massacrent pas.
